Booking Policies

Smoking Policy

The hotel is 100% smoke free. There is no smoking in any guest room or outside other guest rooms, patio or pool deck areas, Le Cabanon’s beach or parking area.   A $250 deep cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account should smoking occur anywhere inside the property.  Smoking refers to any type of substances, both legal and illegal and includes vaping and smokeless systems.

Le Cabanon does not permit on its property the unlawful possession or use of controlled substances as defined under either federal or state law.  Unlawful use or possession will subject Guests to immediate check-out.

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 18 years or older with valid government issued identification to reserve and to check in to a guestroom.  No persons under the age of 18 are permitted.  Registered guests must match the ID and form of payment used for the reservation.  Spring Break restrictions such as accommodations, deposits and parking apply.

Le Cabanon Motel, its’ management and owners reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Occupancy Policy

Room rates are based upon double occupancy.  An extra person charge will apply if there are more than 2 adults in a guest room.  Persons under 18 years of age are not permitted.  Roll-away beds are not available, nor are blow-up mattresses permitted in guest rooms.

Connecting Room & Fold Out Sofa Sleepers Policy

Connecting rooms are available on a request basis only. Connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed in advance.  Please contact the hotel for connecting room requests.

The following connecting combinations are available:

  • King Bed to King Bed Efficiencies
  • King Bed to 1 Bedroom Suite
  • King Bed to 2 Double Beds

Sofa Sleepers available in some rooms.  Cribs and playpens are not available as no children 17 years of age or younger are permitted. 

Check-In & Checkout Policies

Check-in Check-out Policy

Check-in is at 3pm.  Check-out is at 11am.  Early Arrivals and Late Check-outs available through manager approval only and may incur additional charges.  Normal office hours are from 10am through 6pm although late arrival arrangements can be made and coordinated with the guests.

Reservation Deposit Policy 

A first night's room and tax deposit is required at time of booking.  The deposit may be charged to MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover credit cards and will be processed when the card number is given.

Early Departure Policy

Guests who check out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an early departure fee of one night.  Changes to reservations made through an online vendor must be made through that vendor and are subject to cancellation fees.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be received at least 72 hours prior to the arrival date (3:00 pm Eastern local time) and cancelled via the original booking method (i.e. bookings made via third party online sites and travel agencies must make cancellation arrangements through the original booking source).

Should a guest cancel within 72 hours of the arrival date or fail to arrive at Le Cabanon Motel, a penalty charge equal to the first night accommodation plus applicable taxes will be applied to the credit card provided for guarantee at the time of reservation and the remaining nights booked will be released.

Vehicle Parking Policy

Guests are permitted one parking space per room, based on availability and is first come, first serve.  Additional parking is available a short distance away and the resident manager will strive to make available parking on-site.  Tandem parking is available but recommended for small compact cars only.  Vehicles without a parking pass are towed at the owner’s expense.

Luggage Storage Policy

Due to limited storage space, Guests cannot stow their vehicles or luggage on site when not checked into the property, nor leave interim while on a cruise or destination, prior to returning to the motel.  

Pet Policy

Although the owners and company officers may visit with their pet, there are NO PETS permitted at Le Cabanon Motel.  Any guest found with pets or guest rooms having unattended pets will be asked to leave the property immediately and may incur additional cleaning fees and forfeiture of any deposits or monies.   ADA registered Service Animals are not pets and are permitted in compliance under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) but Companion Pets are not permitted.   If you have further questions about service animals or other requirements of the ADA, you may call the U.S. Department of Justice's toll-free ADA Information Line at 800-514-0301 (voice) or 800-514-0383 (TDD). 

Health & Well-Being Policies

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverages are permitted on the property and restricted to those 21 years or older (with valid identification) and to those in active Military Service 18 years or older.  It is recommended that no glassware be permitted near the pool areas, as plastic tumblers are provided for poolside use.  Red wine damage to the porous stone surfaces and broken glass in the pool are subject to cleaning fees and inventory replacement fees.

Good Night’s Rest Policy

We realize that some guests enjoy a bit of mingling in the evening, but as a consideration to other guests who are trying to rest, noise must be kept to a minimum level and a quiet time policy (10 pm – 8 am) is in effect within the common areas and poolside.  To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests, the motel enforces a Good Night’s Rest Policy in our guest rooms.   All guests must be registered at check-in.  Should guests and/or their visitors negligently or intentionally cause damage to a suite, the registered guest shall be liable for all damages sustained, including the loss of revenue resulting from the inability to sell the suite while repairs are being made. Damages incurred will be applied to the credit card provided by the primary registered guest.  Disturbances  created due to partying party or noise from a guest room, all guests in that room will be asked to leave the motel without a refund.  Management has the right to check the status of the room upon your check-out time to ensure that our premises are in good condition and can be used by the next guest.  These guidelines are in place to ensure every guest enjoys a peaceful and pleasant stay.

Eco-Friendly Initiatives 

Le Cabanon is committed to environmentally-conscious programs including recycling, water and energy conservation and eco-friendly practices in our linen laundering and guest room cleaning.  We incorporate the use of Diversey brand eco-friendly cleaning solutions. 

Le Cabanon abides by the FWC approved structural and landscape lighting respectful to the laws and regulations protecting sea turtles and their nesting.  

It is the motels’ policy that no candles, nor incense be burning in the guest rooms.

Housekeeping Policy 

Housekeeping service is provided daily to ensure a comfortable stay.  Hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays, and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays.  Early or late service can be arranged upon request.  Typically, no housekeeping services are provided on Sundays and most Holidays.  Short term and long term seasonal guests will have varying housekeeping services dependent upon their length of stay.  Please let the manager know your ideal housekeeping service needs..

Payment Policies

We accept all major credit cards, as well as cash as payment.

The primary registered guest MUST provide a valid credit card or form of payment at the time of check-in as a form of guarantee for any incidentals and/or damages that may be incurred.

Each registered Guest must provide identification, i.e. passport, driver’s license, government issued photo ID.   Should the Guest be unable to provide a valid form of ID, Le Cabanon may choose to refuse service and will consider the reservation as a non-arrival.

EMV/Chip &  PIN Credit Card Policy

Please be aware this hotel is EMV/Chip & PIN ready and your credit card’s PIN may be necessary for you to check-in to the motel.  If you are not aware of the PIN for your chip credit card, or you are unsure if your card requires a PIN, please contact the financial institution that issued your credit card for clarity and to secure your PIN. 

Credit/Debit Card Policy

Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the remaining amount of your scheduled stay, if a previous deposit was made. This includes an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount incurred during the stay will be charged.  Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the motel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

The use of a debit card will initiate, at the time of check-in, an immediate deduction from your bank account for your room rate, inclusive of tax, for all room nights.  A hold amount of no less than $100 is authorized for incidentals.   Based upon the business rules of your financial institution, it may take 72 hours or longer for your bank to release the hold amount back to your account.   There are NO REFUNDS for any debit cards used, which includes any early departures.

Cash Policy

A credit card is required to reserve a room.  US Dollar Cash payments are permitted at check-in for the full amount of your stay.  In addition, a deposit of one night’s stay, either in cash or a valid authorized credit card MUST be made, no exceptions.  Cash payments are non-refundable. Deposits are returned after acceptable inspection of room is made, keys & parking pass returned.  Early departures where deposits are made can be mailed to the address on record for the guest.  No refunds to persons other than whom the deposit was received from.  

Lost Key Policy

Any lost key is subject to a $250 replacement fee.  Keys not returned at check-out are subject to $250 complete lock replacement fee.

Check Cashing Policy

Personal Check and Travelers’ Check cashing services and acceptance are not available.  

Gift Certificate Policy

Please contact the hotel directly to purchase or redeem gift certificates. 

Third Party Payment Policy

For payment arrangements with a third-party credit card, please contact the motel directly for credit card authorization instructions. Third party credit and debit cards will not be accepted without prior authorization and valid identification.

General Policies

Hurricane Policy

Hurricane season extends from June 1st through November 30th each year.  In the event of a hurricane* in the Gulf of Mexico or off the Atlantic Coast as a projected path, the Le Cabanon Motel will not be accepting new reservations, and the property may be subject to closure or evacuation.  In the event of evacuation, the property will attempt to contact future guests to notify them of the situation and their reservation will be canceled without penalty.  Guests that are staying at the property when an evacuation order is called may be transported to the airport, where air transportation will need to be arranged by the guest.  During the affected period, we will waive cancellation and no-show charges.  Please contact the property for more details.

*A hurricane is defined/validated by the National Hurricane Center, typically a tropical cyclone in which the maximum sustained surface wind is 74 mph (64 knots) or greater.

Special Event Policy

The Le Cabanon Motel may enforce special event policies over high-demand dates, such as some holidays, sporting events, festivals, or other citywide events. Some of these events include The Fort Lauderdale Air & Sea Show, Holiday Boat Parades, Tortuga Music Festival, New Year’s Eve, the Super Bowl, and any additional area events.

Event policies can include pre-payment/non-cancelable requirements for room reservations. For the safety and security of all guests, access to guest floors during special events is limited to registered guests. During special events, registered guests are quoted special rates at the time a reservation is made are for two (2) occupants per room. Additional guests, up to a maximum of four (4) per room, will incur an additional charge per person. 

As with all major events, the city may opt to close specific streets which can result in traffic delays during evening hours. Please allow extra time when traveling to and from the property. Motel parking is limited and is made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Package Handling Policy

There is a package handling fee for all incoming and outbound packages. As this location is not a storage site or mail center, please contact the manager directly for the exact fee. 

Property Damage and Liability Policy

Any use of Le Cabanon’s property, or participation in off-site adventure, entertainment and exercise activities is done at Guest’s sole risk.  Le Cabanon shall not be liable for any injuries, loss, or damage to Guest and/or Guest’s personal property resulting from the use of the property, regardless of whether it occurs because of Le Cabanon’s negligence.  If the Guest chooses to take accommodation, the Guest(s) waives any claim of liability - for personal/bodily injury or damages - which occurs to the Guest or for any loss of or injury to person or property.  This waiver is intended to be a complete release of any responsibility for personal injuries and/or property loss/damage sustained by any participant while on Le Cabanon’s premises or at off-site destinations or not.
